About us
Let learning feel like winning.
MASKAX is a learning contest app built for Somali students — it turns studying into a game you play with your classmates.
The story
MASKAX is built for Somali students. The idea is simple: students already love competing and playing games on their phones — why not use that for learning?
We turned revising a lesson into a fun contest, with questions from the Somali curriculum. The student who wins is the one who understood the lesson, not just the one who memorised it.
You can play 1v1 against another student, challenge a friend, play with a group, or practise alone. Every day you open the app your streak grows, and your XP takes you up the levels and the leaderboard of your class.

What we do
Live contests
1v1 matches against students of your grade, Friend Battles where you choose the subject, the chapter and the number of questions, and group games.
Practice and past exams
Practise any chapter alone with 1 to 100 questions and see the right answer and why. Past exam papers are inside the app.
Friends and groups
Add friends with a MASKAX ID, chat with text and voice messages, and make groups to play together.
Progress you can see
XP, levels, a daily streak and a leaderboard of your whole class.
Your curriculum
Questions are written chapter by chapter for the Somali curriculum, grades 8–12.
Safe by design
Very little data, no calls or video, chat only with friends, block and report.
